Urdu Musings

Roothi hai woh, hum manane chale hain
zindagi ke dorahey mitaane chale hain
kehte the who ki waqt sab badal dega
puch aaj humse khuda
Kis tarah uske gamo ko apnane chale hain... ____________________________________________________________________

Woh jeena hi kya jo mar mar ke ho, (2)
Woh maut hi kya jisme pyar ka elm nahi...
 _____________________________________________________________________

Pyar se to kehte hain kashtiyaan mil sakti hain,
shiddat se karo to khuda bhi gawah hoga...

Evermore. .

I have been in love more than once,
but everytime it happened it was unreal.
Until a moment struck me so hard that you
were a part of my presence. It had made me
come alive out of a stiff shell. You taught me how
to love, how to be a part of someone you love,
how to be poetic in the junction of a touch.
Sometime then I felt that today is perhaps the
time I have lived most part of my life in a pristine
aspect. Seeing you was a matter of time, loving you
was just more than what love together really is.
you are my fortune; the devotion. And oh have I
mentioned the men who got the real feelings unreal?
Maybe the only thought I would want to be a part of
is you. Maybe that is the only notion which should be
mortal. You are surreal. I knew what flying in the sky
felt like. It was what the dream was about. Love, love, love,
which became the core of my heart and I only yearned
for more. I had imagined such love and fervency only
in the flicks, where the man was the only soul a woman carried.
But when I bid you farewell today, a volcano erupted
in some part of the world in a disguise claiming to be
dead without your contiguity.

Choti Si Zindagi

Kya lekar aaye the
kya lekar jaaoge,
zindagi me sabse kaise nibhaaoge
hona to wahi hai jo upar wale ne likha hai
Pyar ka tohfa
nafrat se kaise de paaoge.

Waqt hai bacha hua
baech do tareeke se
izzat hai jo kamai hui,
lapaet lo seene se.

Puchega koi nahi
yaad ye rakhna hai,
fir bhi dil me pyar ka
aaina khuredna hai.

Do pal jee liye hai toh
mar jana hai chaen se,
duniya me to yahi chalta hai
Ab kafan kya dega marti mujhpe
na ro thoda, bas nafrat faenk de.

Words untrue

I pray,

Surrender your dreams to me
since the crippled posses the power
and dead bodies don't.

Surrender your wishes to me
since the blind could conform them
and the sighted couldn't/

Surrender your words to me
since the writer could form
them better in a story.

Surrender your soul to me
since I would feel the aura of it
and you being usual couldn't.

A.r.T

Shake me to expose the art,
for I am within the elements you do not see
but breathe. Breathe the feel of it.

Top 5 Rumi Favorites

1.)  “I want to see you.

Know your voice.

Recognize you when you
first come 'round the corner.

Sense your scent when I come
into a room you've just left.

Know the lift of your heel,
the glide of your foot.

Become familiar with the way
you purse your lips
then let them part,
just the slightest bit,
when I lean in to your space
and kiss you.

I want to know the joy
of how you whisper
"more”
- Rumi

2.)  “In your light I learn how to love. In your beauty, how to make poems. You dance inside my chest where no-one sees you, but sometimes I do, and that sight becomes this art.”

3.)   “Be melting snow.
Wash yourself of yourself.”

4.)   “Study me as much as you like, you will not know me, for I differ in a hundred ways from what you see me to be. Put yourself behind my eyes and see me as I see myself, for I have chosen to dwell in a place you cannot see.”

5.)   “These pains you feel are messengers. Listen to them.”

Tremors

The crimson water
green eyes,
begging for mercy
in a land of unknown companions

she was shaken from head to toe
as if searching for breath
in the state of Parkinson's disease
Having to arrange the bucks for medicines

She had now woken up from her dream
realizing it wasn't the naked truth of the month.

"It was a mere dream." - She sighed, with Holi colors on her face (wiping the sweat off for eerie future)
